Halloween at Jennifer Perkins' Austin, Texas, home is quite the ordeal. For years, the blogger behind JenniferPerkins.com and online craft show host for the DIY Network and HGTV has loved decorating for the holiday and hosting elaborate celebrations. "I began throwing an annual Halloween party that started small and grew into something that was like hosting a wedding each year with well over 100 guests," she told CountryLiving.com.

The crafter and mother of two was inspired to turn Halloween into an extra-special event when her son was diagnosed with a peanut allergy. "I feel like it was an endless month of saying 'no you can't have that,'" she says. "That being said, I kinda started overcompensating, as moms tend to do, with my own extravagant, kitschy, colorful version of Halloween."

Now her home is known as the epicenter of the holiday with its bright, one-of-a-kind decorations including Halloween trees, collections of vintage masks and decor, and plenty of pieces supporting the Teal Pumpkin Project. "It's all Halloween all the time here from August through October," she said. Take a peak inside her festive home.

Most impressive about Jennifer's lineup? The majority of her decorations are thrifted or crafted. "I love vintage shopping," Jennifer says. "A vintage holiday treasure seems so much more precious if you had to trek through a flea market in a cow pasture and get dirt under your fingernails to find it." Here she used vintage masks and painted pumpkins to adorn this white, orange, and yellow faux tree.

A collection of vintage Halloween treasures—costumes, toys, and paraphernalia—sit alongside modern pieces in the dining room. It's all about the assortment, according to Jennifer. "Mix new and old decorations—you don't want your house to look like an ad for a store that everyone else does their holiday decor shopping in," Jennifer said. "My collection was not born overnight; it has taken me years to amass and is always growing."
