Ingredients
Rainbow
- 6 oz. red candy melts
- 6 oz. orange candy melts
- 4 oz. yellow candy melts
- 4 oz. green candy melts
- 2 oz. purple candy melts
- 3 1/2 c. air-popped popcorn tossed with a pinch of salt
Clouds and Sheep
- 12 oz. white chocolate, chopped
- 2 c. air-popped popcorn tossed with a pinch of salt
- Black fondant
- Candy eyes
Directions
- Step 1Make the rainbow: Line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper. Use a bowl or saucepan lid to trace a semi circle, creating an arch shape.
- Step 2Place each color candy melt in 6 medium microwave safe bowls. Working with one color at time and starting with the red, melt the candy melts in microwave in 20-second intervals on 50% power, stirring in between each, until smooth.
- Step 3Fold 1 cup popcorn into the red candy melts until fully coated. Using the traced arch as a guide, arrange the popcorn in a single layer. Repeat with the remaining candy melts and popcorn using 1 cup popcorn for orange, 1/2 cup popcorn each for yellow and green, and 1/4 cup popcorn each for purple and blue.
- Step 4Make the clouds and sheep: For the clouds and sheep, melt the white chocolate in a large microwave-sage bowl in 30-second intervals on 50% power, stirring between each, until smooth. Fold in the popcorn until fully coated. Pile some into a ball at one end of the rainbow. Then make three piles of varying shapes with the remaining popcorn to make 3 sheep. Shape the fondant into faces and ears and stick onto the popcorn while its still tacky, then use a small dab of water to stick on the eyes.
